OCEANiCS (D-ICE ENGINEERING)
OCEANiCS: the routing system designed for hybrid ships
Sofien Kerken
and his team
The development of digital solutions, starting with the OCEANiCS system, to optimize and secure navigation and operations at sea, while significantly reducing vessel consumption.
A reference system for the first modern cargo ship with hybrid propulsion
The open sea and the deep sea are familiar worlds for the 25 engineers and scientists of D-ICE Engineering (Nantes/Paris), which develops modeling and multiphysical simulation tools for maritime operations, as well as onboard control systems for the offshore and renewable energy industries. At the crossroads of hydrodynamics, applied mathematics, robotics, artificial intelligence, systems engineering and software engineering, this deeptech start-up designs digital tools that model and simulate navigation, control, optimization and decision support systems and software.
“A new chapter is opening for our team with this fundraising which both concretizes intense years of R&D and places D-ICE Engineering as a major player in the energy and environmental transition of the maritime and offshore sectors. We are happy to welcome on board investors who share our values and motivations.”
