Buffet Waste is a smart system dedicated to hotels and restaurants to measure the amount of food waste and reduce it. It develops a state-of-the-art predictive model to limit orders to products actually consumed by customers, thus reducing food waste.

Faced with food waste and the carbon impact it generates, Buffet Waste is banking on prediction. Buffet Waste’s artificial intelligence uses a sophisticated system of quantifying by weight the food thrown away and the food consumed. The software then classifies the food to ensure a variety of food for customers in future orders. By exploiting all this data, the intelligent software makes it possible to plan appropriate quantities, without missing and without wasting. 

Supported by two sister companies: Visionary Hospitality, a Canary Islands company specialized in artificial intelligence, and SigHo, its subsidiary, specialized in connected hotel management, Buffest Waste is at a crossroads. The innovative solution was created by Antonio Alvaro Ramirez and his team, all of whom were mobilized against waste. Buffet Waste now equips several hotels and is targeting the major hotel and restaurant chains.
