AT THE CROSSROADS OF “DEEP TECH” AND “LOW COST”
If there is one issue on which the management and optimization of renewable energies depend, it is storage. And it is with the idea of providing a sustainable response to this major problem that SINERGY FLOW is working. This Milan-based start-up, founded by Alessandra Accogli, Matteo Salerno and Gabriele Panzeri, electrochemical and materials engineers, is working on the development of a low-cost, high-performance stationary battery.
Its secret? The use of abundant materials, such as sulfur and by-products of the petrochemical industry, which makes it part of a circular economy. Its ambition? To develop a modular, scalable technology with a customizable energy/power ratio (E/P), suitable for long-term energy storage (>10 hours) and extended use. Currently in the R&D phase, SINERGY FLOW hopes to market this revolutionary battery from 2025 onwards to grid operators, who are encouraged to integrate more renewable energy into their energy mix.
