WaltR’s plug and play solution, in collaboration with Lacroix, based on artificial intelligence, establishes the best local traffic control scenario for all mobilities, including active and non-polluting mobilities, which emit the best possible impact on air quality. The [AI]Roads solution includes hyper-local air quality monitoring and intelligent traffic flow management, which includes pollution effects through mobility scenarios and forecast design, without modifying the existing road infrastructure.
Think Globally, Act Locally
WaltR will also implement a methodology to stimulate pro-environmental mobility behaviors. The solution is unique in its integration of real-time environmental data, including greenhouse gases and air quality, as well as the involvement of road users in the urban traffic management decision-making system. It generates recommendations resulting from the machine and human learning process.
Eric Péquignot, a polytechnic engineer, with 12 years of experience at the Centre Nationale d’Études Spatiales (CNES) in the development of space projects focused on the atmosphere and climate, is one of the co-founders of WaltR. He has surrounded himself with a high-level team and a solid network of partners including the Lacroix group and the CNES. Intended for local authorities, ports, industrial companies, airports and Smart City systems, the WaltR solution will be marketed in 2025 after an experimental phase in real conditions in the city of Angers (49) in the second half of 2024.
